TIP: How To Prevent Cut Fruit from Discolouring

To avoid the change of colour of cut fruit such as browning of apples and pears, rub some lemon (or lime or orange) on the cut surface. This will do trick to keep them nice and white as it prevents the air contact (oxidation) that causes the browning.

That's a good tip I had heard lemon juice but sometimes it's a bit sour I love the idea if orange, never thought it would be the same. It's the citric acid so if ourselves doh! Thanks for sharing

You are welcome Mel. I have not tried it myself yet but I have read it once that even pineapple works.
